Parks & Nature
Only a 15 minute drive to Government camp where you can visit ski bowl for skiing in winter and mountain biking trails in summer.

If you continue up Lolo Pass Rd for about 23 miles you will come to Lost Lake. Bare left one mile up Lolo and a few miles farther don't make the same mistake as me and take the logging road. The actual road is a little farther. This is actually an Oregon Highway and is marked on all maps as such. There you can rent canoes and row boats by the hour. There is a small deli and grocery store also. It is only for the adventuress though as most of the road is one lane (turn outs every 1/8 mile to let someone pass) Paved for the second half of the way with gravel for the first 10 miles. Relatively smooth with very little traffic though. We take the ride once every couple of years for fun.

a 45 minute or longer drive up and over Mt Hood but fun for a day trip. We do it often when we stay at the Lodge. Everything from antiquing to brew pubs to restaurants and shopping. Hood river is about 45 miles away.
