This area was acquired thru the act of imminent domain for the purpose of stopping the flooding out of the existing town in the area. This project failed and the land was later given back to WI for the use of a preserve. The nature center is great and the Preserve offers lots of hiking, equestrian trails and cross country/snowshoeing trails.

This is just a spectacularly beautiful spot that is little known. The hiking trail crosses a small swinging bridge and a wooden one and offers small shallow places to frolic on a warm day in the water of Perry Creek.

Canoes and Kayaks and Tubes are available here for a super fun day on the Kickapoo River. This shallow river is full of beautiful views, twists and turns through the Driftless region rockscape. This can be busy on weekends and is a favorite of many.

This small park offers a beach and swimming area and a great hike up the bluff with history of the various bluffs on signposts along the way. The climb up is not super long but it is steep with steps.

If you want a truly unique experience, don't pass this by. Large area covered with the molds for making the fiberglass forms that are seen in parks, attractions, pools, businesses etc. Just plane unique and one of a kind experience.
