Great for the rainy days...there is a wave machine and shoots for the kids. Great entertainment when too wet to get on the beach. There is also a climbing wall, and badminton courts.

The castle is interesting to wall around but also check out what they have on. In the summer there is often outdoor theatre performances.

Indoor Karting that is great fun for all the family. Great for a wet day. Might need to book in advance at certain times of the year. We ahve had a lot of fun here over the years...better for the older children....as there is a minimum age on the main karts...but there is a mini kart track for the little ones.

Good for kids...there is a bit of mill history...and some small animals to see. Plus a cafe, and a few craft shops. They have lots of events here so keep an eye on what is going on

Something a bit different if you are into board games. They have a huge amount of games for sale, plus tables where you can play games...and a number of games for you to try out. There are also organised evenings of fun.

Parks & Nature
It has everything you need, sand, lots of it, rock pools, and large warm puddles you can paddle in, and make dams. It is a good beginner surfing beach, with surf schools. There are two cafes, one for chips and burgers, and one that does a good cuppa coffee.

This has to be one of the best beaches on the planet for views and scenery.....Has to be walked to, but the views are worth it. The easiest walk is from Southgate, across the top of the cliffs. But if you park by Shepard's on the South Gower road you can also walk along the valley. Dog are allowed on this beach all year, and there are local horse rides here too.
It must be noted that this beach is not good for Swimming as there is a STRONG RIP TIDES at certain points of the tide that has taken lives over the last few years.

This has to be one of the best beaches on the planet for views and scenery.....Has to be walked to, but the views are worth it. The easiest walk is from Southgate, across the top of the cliffs. But if you park by Shepard's on the South Gower road you can also walk along the valley. Dog are allowed on this beach all year, and there are local horse rides here too.

There is also a covered roundhouse if it rains....and lots of space for kids and dogs to run around. The space is just turn up and use, so you have to fit in with anyone that is already there. Please use the space responsibly.

This place allows dogs in on the ground floor, and is also good for vegetarian and vegan food as well as the normal burgers. Nice food...reasonable prices.....one of my favourite places to go

The local pub...with award winning food. On the expensive side but if you want a nice meal out worth a try.
Can be walked to in about 20 mins from the Chalet, but you will need a good torch if you plan to walk it after dark.
The drive is about 5mins

One of the best views, watch the sun go down over the stunning long sandy bay. They para glide off the head land...something I will try one of these days.
