For local excursions, Holland State Park Beach is always a popular one as well as the lighthouse that's out in that same area. The Holland Farmers Market is very charming and neat and it's held on Wednesdays and Saturdays about 6 blocks from the house at Holland Civic Center. You can look up details online. Another is Saugatuck Dunes State Park which is in-between Holland and Saugatuck, about a 15 minute pleasant drive from the house. Windmill Island is another popular excursion. Finally, the city website www.cityofholland.com/101/Visitors always has some helpful info & updates. Enjoy!
