Of course the Riverwalk is a must see for any first time visitors, great texmex margaritas abound. Make sure you take a river taxi, great site seeing from the river but also the guide will give you some great history about the buidlings. Did you know the riverwalk was once the "trash collection side" used for pick up.

This is a very unique place, it was orginially a quarry and has a great display of plants, fish and a relaxing atmosphere. the "tea room" is nice for a snack and rest if walking

Very well maintained by the City's park's departmen. There is a "train" that runs through the park, great for kids and I see parents smiling too.
San Antonio's zoo is one of the most well kept and humane zoos in the country. The lonely Rhino finally got a partner a few years ago. We were all relieved. Great place to take the kids, within walking distance or a short ride

If you are traveling with kids this museum is a block away and so much fun. It is San Antonio's 25 million dollar children's museum that is more "do" then see so hence the name DoSeum

Bus routes are easy with a GPS on phone just select bus instead of car. There are some ungraded routes that run a block away , WIFI, music, friendly drivers always. Very clean buses including UV light to clean germs.

The farmer's market at the Pearl

if you like trying local coffees, honey and maybe even pick some breads or locally grown veggies. This is the place on Saturday and Sunday. Lots of people and dog watching. Food court has many options to choose from.

There is some great mexican resturants, margs and just a nice friendly attitude all over san antonio. embrace the easy going pace and have fun

The ride to the top of the hemisphere

Hemisphere park has really been upgraded in recent years. the ride to the the top of the hemisphere sight deck is scary for some but it is well worth it. there is also a bar and resturant at the top. I recommended best after dark because of the setting sun is very instense as the the deck spins but if you don't mind then it a good time any time

San Antonio is very casual

A light jacket in the winter is usualy fine (only a couple of freezes per year) Casual look is everywhere. If you plan to go to a nice resturant might want to bring something a little nicer but overall it is an easy going place attire wise. Short in the summer a must and sunscreen

One of the expenses with traveling is food. with a well equiped kithen at the property; picking up a few things and having a nice evening in is always an option. Especially with a great Terrace like the property has. I have seen cheese and wine, breakfast, and just an evening playing cards out on that Terrace
