On the water, Spinnakers has great beer and food with a view. We recommend enjoying a stroll across the bridge and following the harbour pathway to Spinnakers (about a 15-20min walk) - or take a Harbour Ferry.

Our favourite fish and chips. Not as fancy as Red Fish Blue Fish, but so yummy. Don't miss the salmon taco. It's about a 30min walk along the harbour pathway to Fisherman's Wharf. It's not on Fisherman's Wharf, but instead it's across the park. Barb's Fish and Chips (in Fisherman's Wharf) is good - but we think this is better.

David Foster Harbour Pathway (or Inner Harbour Pathway) is a delightful waterfront route. Once complete, the David Foster Harbour Pathway will extend over five kilometres from Rock Bay to Ogden Point. The Janion is next to the habour pathway. We recommend you take a stroll and enjoy the sights and sounds.

A beautiful park year round. We've spent a lot of time here over the years. If you're lucky enough to be visiting in the Spring don't miss the Great Blue Heron's rookery. At the base of the stone bridge look up and you'll see dozen's of pairs of herons nesting the trees above. There's also a nesting bald eagle pair nearby.

Harbour Ferry Water Ballet is a must
In the morning on summer weekends head down to the Inner Harbour (in front of the Legislature) to watch the little Harbour Ferries (Victorians affectionately call them pickle boats) preform a Water Ballet. It's silly and so much fun. Details: https://victoriaharbourferry.com/water-ballet/
Wat je mee moet nemen
Cloth Bags
The City of Victoria (and most of the surrounding region) has 'banned' plastic bags. All businesses now provide paper bags with a mandatory fee. There's a cloth bag in the loft for your use, but you may want to pack your own for the trip.
