Neighborhoods
The West Blvd Historic District is the oldest neighborhood in Rapid City and is a great place to walk around or hike in The Skyline Wilderness Area. Lots of beautiful older homes, large old trees and sidewalks for safe passage.

Sightseeing
The park is right in the middle of Rapid City and offers miles of beautiful trails with great views of the city. There are trails for all levels from wide with little to no grade to steep and rocky. To access from the east side take St Cloud Street to its western end. From the east side take Jackson Blvd to West Fulton Street and there is trailhead parking there.
Skyline Wilderness Area Park

On Skyline Drive in the middle of Rapid City the park offers a concession with food, excellent views of the city and the Black Hills as well as many hiking trails. Great place to take the kids!!!

Summer Nights Music Festival
Every Thursday from 6 to 9 PM from late May to late August there is free music and entertainment downtown. The city closes off some streets and it is always fun to walk through Art Alley, by Main Street Square and listen to the live music.

Places to eat, drink and be merry!
Tally's offers the best breakfast downtown as well as great tapas and drink deals for happy hour starting at 4 PM. If you are in the mood for a draft beer and pizza don't miss The Ale House and for fine dining the Del Monico and The Wine Cellar are the spots. The Lost Cabin Brewery a few blocks outside of downtown offers incredible craft beers as well.

Dahl Arts Center and The Rapid City Performing Arts Center
The Dahl Arts Center is the premier western South Dakota arts center for contemporary visual arts, arts education and performing arts and is 10 minutes walk from The Clark House. In addition The Rapid City Performing Arts Center is just two blocks from the Dahl and offers something for everyone. The Arts Center offers multiple locally produced shows each year, touring professional artists, plays and concerts presented by Rapid City schoolchildren, and performances by local groups.
