Sightseeing

Nothing beats swimming in a croc-free waterfall or rockpool. A two-wheel drive approx. 1.5 hours from Darwin, you can swim at Buley Rockpools, Florence Waterfalls or enjoy the many walks throughout the park. If you have a 4WD, explore the many waterfalls and campsites throughout the park’s backtracks.

Things to Do

Catch the 10 or 4 bus to hit the city. Head to Mitchell Street to sink a few beers and find the Darwin Entertainment Centre or Hanuman Restaurant. Go the Darwin Waterfront to enjoy the wave pool, chill on the grass or dine out. Deckchair cinema is also a must!! On your way into the city or for a more chilled casual local vibe make your way to the Ski Club or Sailing Club and don’t forget to visit Parap or Laneway cafe, until 2pm every Saturday. Mindil Beach Sunset Market, Cullen Bay and the Casino also good options for a feed, and if you’re dining out in the dry season it’s wise to book ahead.
