In Douro Marina you can take a small taxi boat ("Flor do Gás") used only for the purpose of transporting people (and bikes) from one side of the Douro river to the other.
"Flor do Gás" connects Afurada, Vila Nova de Gaia, (where are several simple restaurants, with good options for local dishes, mainly fish related) to Lordelo do Ouro (Porto).
This boat trip takes 2 minutes and it crosses the Douro River every 15 minutes, enabling you to enjoy the Arrábida Bridge and also where the river flows into the Atlantic sea from a different perspective.
Strongly recommend specially on sunny days.
