Hovdala (10 min drive). This is where important battles between Sweden and Denmark took place during the 17th century. Today you have nice walks here, there is also a cafe and restaurant. During the summer they have concerts and lectures too.

The University Town Lund (1 hour drive) is a must! Idyllic small town with lots of atmosphere. Here you can lunch, dine, do shopping and wander around beautiful streets. (Both Rasmus and Sophia lived here for several years, happy to offer advise on the must sees)

Kristianstad (24 min drive). Kristianstad is a Renaissance city, founded in 1614 by King Christian IV of Denmark. The city was initially built as a fortress, surrounded by wetlands that provided a natural defence. (I. e this part of Sweden was danish several centuries ago). Kristianstad is well worth a day trip. Here you can visit museums, wander the streets for shopping and enjoy a nice dinner

The cave has been used as a set for filming the well-known childrens movie ”Ronja” the Robber’s Daughter by Astrid Lindgren.

Åhus (40 min drive). A town where you can have great ice cream, have great cocktails at the Absolut Vodka bar, visit the factory, have lovely fish at the local restaurant and of course, enjoy the beach.
