Less than a mile from the duplex, Tumamoc Hill's hiking trail offers a completely paved, "in-town" hiking experience. With steep inclines and about a 700-foot elevation gain from bottom to top, expect a workout whether you plan to walk or jog. A view of downtown Tucson is the reward at the end of this 1.5-mile hike. This is a popular spot, so expect to share the trail with others. Bikes and pets are not allowed.

Relatively flat, maintained, crushed gravel and concrete walking paths make this small park ideal for those with small children or limited mobility. This is a great spot, just outside of town, where you can go to immerse yourself in the desert landscape and wildlife. There are shaded seating areas and a public restroom near the parking lot. Located 5 miles from the duplex (two-minute dive).
