Sightseeing
This beautiful trail is suitable for old and young alike. Most of the trail is flat until you get to the end, where you can go further using wide wooden steps -( not suitable for wheelchairs). There are benches all along to sit and enjoy the view or enjoy a snack (please take care not to leave any imprint - no peels or packaging of any kind. whatever you carry in you should carry out).

Skyline Trail

This lovely secluded beach is 15 minutes from Valley View. It is a wonderful place to swim and play with children. You can hike up the trail onto the cliff to enjoy the view. There is very little of an undertow. You can walk out into the ocean for a long way in the shallows. There is also a rivulet that my Grandchildren love to play in.
Whale cove beach
This lovely secluded beach is 15 minutes from Valley View. It is a wonderful place to swim and play with children. You can hike up the trail onto the cliff to enjoy the view. There is very little of an undertow. You can walk out into the ocean for a long way in the shallows. There is also a rivulet that my Grandchildren love to play in.

The Mi Careme Centre is 5 minutes away has mask making classes for children. It also is a lovely museum to learn about the Acadian culture and traditions.
This area of Cape Breton has a strong French/Acadian influence. While here enjoy the Harbour and lovely views of fishing boats.

This lovely restaurant with a patio overlooking the ocean is a perfect place to enjoy the sunset and dine. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is delicious every time and they cater to families. They also have live music frequently
