Eight miles of trails lead hikers into the mountains and oak forests of the park, including a trail to the US-Mexico international border. Wildflowers can be found nearly year-round in the park.

This combination of factors gives Ramsey Canyon Preserve its notable variety of plant and animal life, including such southwestern specialties as Apache and Chihuahua pines, ridge-nosed rattlesnake, lesser long-nosed bat, elegant trogon, and Rivoli's and Anna's hummingbirds.

A great hike year-round as it is shaded most of the way and provides a break from the sun. Don’t miss it in the fall when the giant maples turn bright yellow, orange, and red! Absolutely gorgeous!
