City/town information
Uptown Sedona is just a few miles south on State Rte 89a. Restaurants, shopping etc, definitely the more "touristy" part of town. Further south is West Sedona. Here you'll find lots of dining options, access roads to hiking, mountain biking and running trails, grocery stores, the movie theater, etc. If you take State route 179 into the Village of Oak Creek (VOC), you'll find a lot more dining options, bike shops, the Artisan Market (summers), trailheads and much more!

Take a hike up North Wilson Mountain (steep but GORGEOUS) and have a picnic after under the cool shade of a veranda. One of my favorite hikes in all of Oak Creek Canyon.

An amazing historical site where you can swim, pick apples (season-based), and picnic. In the summer it can be really busy, so go early and plan ahead. It's really gorgeous around sunset as well, and less crowded.
