On the former ship dockyard this bar/restaurant has great views on the water. Very nice atmosphere. Movienights, live music and dj's are often programmed as well! Great fireplace on cold days.

Really nice market, on saturdays especially and also on mondays. It's not in Amsterdam Noord, but very close to central station and the "Jordaan" area. great to take a long walk in this area.
