Local Springs Guide
Rum Island Springs is a beautiful riverside park located just 1 mile from the cabin. This park is the perfect getaway for swimming, snorkeling, river tubing, boating, and picnics. Boat launch and river access to Gilchrist Blue Springs, Ginnie Springs, Poe Springs, and Lily Springs. Shallow swimming area and grassy bank perfect for small children to play. Beautiful nature trails along the river bank. Nature trail upriver leads to a secret spring. We recommend launching tubes from Secret Spring, and floating the river down to the main Rum Island Spring. Admission is $5 with honor system.

Beautiful blue spring water, nature trails, and multiple springs to enjoy. We recommend going early by 10am on weekends. This spot is definitely a family favorite! Admission is $6 per/car.
Poe Springs Park is located just 8 miles from the cabin. Poe is a beautiful riverside park with a emerald spring hole and nature trails. Awesome playground area, picnic pavilions, soccer field, and volleyball courts. 5 minute nature trail over cypress boardwalk to get to the spring hole. This a great spot for families and big groups. Admission is $5 per/car.

For the BEST local experience without the lines, we recommend renting tubes from Buffalo Joe’s Lucky Sevens just outside the park. Tubes can also be rented inside the park.

The beautiful crystal clear spring sits flows from a lime rock cave down to the banks of the Suwannee River. Great spot for swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, tubing, picnics, and boating on the river. Highly recommended! Admission is FREE.
Devils Den is a prehistoric spring inside of a natural cave formation. This park boasts stunning views of an underground spring inside of a cenote style cave opening. This is a beautiful spot for snorkeling and cave scuba diving. Snorkeling gear is required to swim and can be rented inside of the park. Reservations are required so you must call to schedule in advance. Park admission is $15-$20 per/person. Snorkeling gear rental $10. Scuba gear rental is $40.

Kelly Park Rock Springs is a family favorite that we could not leave out! This is a great park for river tubing, swimming, and snorkeling. This park is located 2 hours from the cabin, but worth the trip if it’s already on your way by taking route I75. Located just 20 minutes off Interstate 75 near Orlando.
The tube run is about 25 minutes starting at the head spring and flows down like a lazy river. It is a 10 minute walk from the last tube exit back to the beginning of the spring head. It’s recommended to bring your own floats, or you can rent tubes just outside the park at Rock Springs Bar & Grill for $7.

400 E Kelly Park RdKelly Park Rock Springs is a family favorite that we could not leave out! This is a great park for river tubing, swimming, and snorkeling. This park is located 2 hours from the cabin, but worth the trip if it’s already on your way by taking route I75. Located just 20 minutes off Interstate 75 near Orlando.

Manatee Springs is a beautiful spring located 50 minutes drive from the Cabin. This spring is home to the west Indian manatee and you can actually swim with the manatees here. It’s the perfect spot for wildlife viewing, swimming, snorkeling, tubing, and nature hiking. Beautiful boardwalk over the cypress groves. Bbq concession stand. Pet friendly with leash. Admission ranges $4 -$6/car.

11650 NW 115th StManatee Springs is a beautiful spring located 50 minutes drive from the Cabin. This spring is home to the west Indian manatee and you can actually swim with the manatees here. It’s the perfect spot for wildlife viewing, swimming, snorkeling, tubing, and nature hiking. Beautiful boardwalk over the cypress groves. Bbq concession stand. Pet friendly with leash. Admission ranges $4 -$6/car.

Admission is $2/person. Admission for river tubing is $20/person and it includes entry fee, tube rental, and shuttle service. $12 admission for shuttle service if you bring your own tube. Very popular spot we recommend arriving by 7am on weekends, or by 9am on weekdays.

You can arrive anytime and you are guaranteed to get in, but we recommend going early to avoid the crowd. Admission ranges $11- $16/person.
