The first university in the world by Plato. (384 B.C.)
1) Plato’s favorite observatory point where he could refine many astronomical laws and comprehend the secret of kosmos.
2) burial place for the king Oedipus, according to one of the biggest tragedy wrote by Sophocles in 406 B.C.
The Great Sophocles himself was also born in this neighborhood.
3) as per Charles Lenormant’s wishes , his heart is buried since 1859 on the top of the hill . He was a French archeologist responsible for many findings in this archeological area.

Arethusa - very tradicional and familiar . The restaurant is in the middle of a park beside the church with great terraces. It is just on a hill where Plato had it as a second observatory to refine the laws of astronomy. Delicious food and lovely place ! 10 min walking from the flat.

Also , delicious Greek barbecue are grilled in the moment and quite often a group of 3 musicians are onsite to put the vibes still higher ! Amazing way to get to know the local in their daily lives !
