Great place to visit. Tickets are £7 from the yellow booth on Prince of Wales Pier (not the blue booth-they charge £12) ferries run every half an hour. I recommend the pasties on the pier at St Mawes. The Rising Sun is a nice pub to visit and a glass of wine on the balcony of the St Mawes Hotel on a nice day is a must-beautiful views. St Mawes castle is also worth a visit if you have time.

The Lizard has beautiful walks where you can pick up the south west coast path. I recommend the most southerly cafe on the Lizard; it gets busy due to the location, but lovely food and views. Coverack is a pretty village on the Lizard and Kynance Cove (National Trust) is lovely. Church of the storms (also National Trust) is really interesting and another lovely area to walk on the coast path.

St Ives is a beautiful place to visit, pretty harbour, lovely beaches and cobbled streets, but beware, it gets incredibly busy. A tip is to drive to Saint Erth park-and-ride station and get the train to St Ives, it is reputed to be the prettiest train ride in the country. As you board the train sit on the right if you can as this is the right side to see the coast.

Walks

De Roseland Heritage Kust
13 Mill Square
The Roseland Penninsula has some beautiful walks. You can get a small passenger ferry from St Mawes to ‘Place’ (don’t miss the last ferry back) From Place you can walk to St Anthony lighthouse and beyond. Alternatively you can take the King Harry car ferry. I recommend Porthscatho or Porth Farm (National Trust car park) as a start for walking.

This is a lovely scenic walk. Get the ferry to Flushing from The Prince of Wales Pier (make a note of the last one back to Falmouth) Turn right on leaving the ferry. Enjoy the views towards Falmouth. You will pass some beautiful and rather grand houses. The house that has two turrets was once owned by the comedian Harry Worth (younger guests probably haven't heard of him) Further on you will see a Tudor house set back within large secluded gardens. This was once owned by Rodger Moore. I heard a story (not sure if true) that a previous owner wanted to buy a property in the area, but he couldn't find the Tudor style that he preferred, so he paid for his Tudor property to be dismantled and rebuilt here! The walk now hugs the coast with lovely views over the Carrick Roads estuary. You will end up in Mylor which has a marina voted the best in the country. I recommend Castaways to eat. Lovely to sit outside on nice day and enjoy the busy marina.
