Sit down restaurant serving decent fresh local seafood, fried seafood, steaks, and a kids menu. Enjoy a drink from the full bar and ocean views as you eat. Prices aren't too bad (apx $25 per plate).

We love coffee on the porch at One Palm, but sometimes it's nice to let someone else do the work, or for a mid day pick-me-up.. The Daily Grind is the place. Good coffee, donuts, pastries, ice cream, and lite faire, Super Friendly staff!! Quick stop on the way from the mainland to One Palm, or a quick morning bicycle ride to start the day off right. Highly recommend!

Beachcombing for shells, fossils, and sharks teeth
Beachcombing on Topsail island can be a fun and rewarding activity. Ancient seafloor deposits offshore are regularly washed onto the beach (especially after a storm) providing a supply of prehistoric ocean fossils and sharks teeth to be found for those who wish to look. The best times are at low tide along the high water mark and in the collections of shells and shell fragments closer to the water. Good Luck and Happy Hunting!
