Every Sunday there is a street market in Kasimpasa where you find only organic food.

You can get an Istanbul Card at almost every metro or tram station. It is a must as public transport is very convenient and working well in Istanbul. Once you buy the card you can use it as long as you want for bus, metro, ferry etc.

Try to avoid taxis but if you don't have any other option negotiate price before getting in.

It is directed to solo male travelers usually. Just don't follow any strangers inviting you to a bar to meet people. The trick is they invite you a normal place and offer you drinks. But in the second place if you follow them there is gonna be a highly elevated bill.
