Parks & Nature

Iceland is the only part of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge that rises above sea level and Iceland's central volcanic plateau is erupting very often. In Thingvellir you can see how the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates are ripping apart, leaving behind gigantic cracks in the lava's surface. That means you’ll have a unique opportunity to stand on two continents at the same time!. You can snorkel or/and dive in one of the "cracks" named Silfra. It's amazing diving between the tectonic plates!!

Arts & Culture

The first church in Iceland was built at Skálholt around the year 1000. Today, Skálholt is visited for the new cathedral, the tomb of bishops, the museum, and the collection of ancient books in the tower - and not least "the unforgettable concerts held in the church".
