You get great views of Edinburgh when you reach the top. Be careful on a windy day though as the wind can get pretty strong at the top. There are also swans about but don’t tease them as they can get pretty aggressive.

Try and book for a table at the glass house area where you get a nice view of the castle. Nice food, reasonably priced. The cocktails at the restaurant are also very tasty.
