Will Rogers State Historic Park

Will Rogers Park is a great place to run or hike (moderate/hard) and there are several trails (short/long). The view is beautiful because it overlooks the Santa Monica Mountains. It's also close to a polo club so you'll likely run into horses. Parking is $12 but you may find street parking and walk a short distance to the park.

The tram ride to the Getty Center is especially fun for kids. You'll enjoy the magnificent view of the L.A. basin. Parking (about $15) might be difficult at weekends or when there's a special exhibition, but there's always taxi/lyft/uber, right?
