It's a takeout place. You'll be surrounded by some hood people, blue collar workers, etc. but never judge a book by its cover.
They have the best 30-inch poboy (sectioned in 4 loafs) including catfish, shrimp, and HOT SAUSAGE. $15-25 easily (but 25-45% cheaper to actual poboy shops and equally as good).
Excellent gumbo.
Crawfish.
Turkey necks.
They are closed Mondays (?) and close before 8PM most days. They are run by Vietnamese people who don't fear the ghettos because the only color that matters is...green.

Every buddy loves this place. Good quality. Priced $10-15 with outdoor seating only. They open for lunch only with 15 minute waits along the bike route from the French Quarter so it gets pretty busy everyday. EVERY. Day.

They served boiled seafood including crawfish, shrimp, mushrooms, corn, sausage. It's solid.
I took a buddy of mine for a snack and 2 hours later, he wanted more. It's a in a hood spot but its pretty safe.

Drinks & Nightlife
It looks tiny and boring. But if you walk through the house/bar, there is an epically awesome backyard.
As a non-drinker, I highly recommend this place. So chill and quaint.

It looks super close on the map, but its quite the distance to walk (20 minutes). It is super fast by car and reasonable by BIKE.

Getting Around
He sells bikes and used bikes. I would recommend BLUE BICYCLES b.c they have rental spots all over the city (closest one is a 7-10 minute walk).
But you can buy a bike for $100 used and see if you can return it for $20-40 less? Consider it a user fee with a bike at your disposal.
