Museum
“The museum occupies the former tomato factory D.Nomikos in Vlichada. The tomato factory survived despite natural disasters like floods and earthquakes, and the business exported its first tinned tomatoes to countries in Europe in 1971.The museum organizes workshops and fun activities for children. Occasionally, kids can meet local tomato growers at the Tomato Industrial Museum to learn about tomato farming and uses in gastronomy.”

“Traditional Kafenes in Oia: Greek cuisine (tapas - mezedes), off the main road, cozy, friendly atmosphere. They use fresh, local products and serve up cured delicacies, Cretan dakos and tomatoe fritters among other traditional recipes accompanied by traditional alcoholic spirits such as raki and ouzo. Needs a reservation even a few days in advance during high season, we can help you with this :) ”

Nature
“During the Middle Ages, in Oia there was one of the "Castels" of the island: the "Castel of Agios Nikolaos". There are reports of the existence of the castle from 1480. It apparently began to form a little earlier, at a time when the Venetians were the rulers of the island. From the fortress of Agios Nikolaos in Oia today is saved a piece of goula (tower). It was named after a cave church dedicated to Agios Nikolaos and was built around 1450. The castle was heavily damaged by the earthquake of 1956 and much of the traditional settlement fell into the sea below the caldera. Great temples, such as the church of Saint George and the Virgin of Platsani, were completely destroyed. Although not much is left of the castle, it is one of the most touristy places in Greece. This is where people from all over the world arrive every afternoon to watch the sunset.”

“This is a very nice restaurant in Perivolos beach. A lot of options for vegetarians or vegans. Their salads are amazing, not only because they are XL size (it's hard to finish it by yourself), but also because the use natural and fresh products. Highly recommended after your swim at Perivolos beach.”

Beach
“One of the most recognisable and beautiful of the Santorini beaches. The contrasting colours of soaring red cliffs and clear blue waters combine to make a perfect setting.”
