“Big, welcoming, affordable with lots to see! Has a kids section and large gift shop. New, well lite, lots on Indigenous history, great displays in 2 galleries, though at times we felt a disconnect from one display to the next. Be prepared for lots of reading and being on your feet. Short on seated video areas and interactive displays that would appeal to kids. Would need at least a couple of hours”

“A place to tease the minds of all the family. Hosts many presentations that travel from city to city but also has a wonderful permanent collection of fascinating modules of their own! There’s also an IMAX Theatre within the same building which often shows the latest amazing natural wonders up close and often scary but beautiful things on earth that still remain.”

“The museum started 25 years ago, when a group of aviation buffs convinced Edmonton City Council to let them use the historic Blatchford hangar on Kingsway. It’s the last remaining double-long, double-wide hangar from the World War II era and is a protected historic resource. Over the years, hundreds of dedicated volunteers have worked on our iconic collection of more than 20 aircraft, including many ground-up restorations.”

“This is the biggest tourist spot in Edmonton throughout the winter. Most people book tickets to ensure they can walk through when it's convenient for them. I suggest getting these tickets, it can be booked weeks in advance. ”

“The Museum is unique for featuring heritage neon signs that have been relocated to the downtown area. The signs are unusual and in several cases are quite a bit of fun. The access is easy and you can visit the signs any time.”
