Park
“The National Mall is basically Washington DC’s backyard – it’s a grassy lawn where visitors and locals hang out on sunny days. Full of world-class museums (we’ll get to this later) and fun festivals, the National Mall is the center of many activities in the city.”

Landmark
“I occasionally go here at night, sit on the steps, and just observe the reflection pool along with the Washington Monument in the night sky. I honestly think the experience is better at night. There’s usually college aged adults and small groups of tourists around even at 1am. ”

“About two miles south of here... this is a great place to spend a pleasant afternoon. Take a walk along the river (you can even rent a kayak here!)... then stroll over to Nationals Park. The area is teeming with great restaurants -- including DC Winery and Bluejacket Brewery.”

“A chill spot to pull up and park, share snacks and watch planes taking off and landing at National Airport. Or rent from the Capitol Bikeshare and ride out the trail. If sweating isn't your thing, have a picnic by the water.”

“Love Georgetown! okay to be honest Georgetown for me consists of M Street and the boardwalk near the harbor. Georgetown Cupcake has become a staple for locals as well as a must far first-time visitors since there long-standing show that aired on HGTV I believe?! Good Stuff Eatery is great for organic, chicken veggie burgers and they have awesome thick milkshake. Of course there is the shopping all along M Street, and then there's fine dining style restaurants along the boardwalk where you'll find boats docked nearby the ferry further down. Underneath Key Bridge you can find rentals for kayaking or paddleboards for stand up paddle boarding.”
