Beautifully presented ground floor holiday apartment, all set up for you to enjoy the charms of this adorable seaside town. Set in the older part of Swanage, the apartment is a quiet and peaceful retreat despite being only 200m from the town centre. The varied independent shops, abundance of restaurants and charming cafes are all just a few moments away. Swanage is of course best known for its glorious seaside and the beach is less than a 5 minute stroll from the front door.
The apartment has recently been fully refurbished and has all the amenities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Fully equipped with TV, DVD, DAB radio and free Wifi. The TV also allows streaming services so don't forget your Netflix and Amazon Prime logons. Straight off the spacious hall is a good sized lounge with large sofas perfect for relaxing. Off the lounge is the south facing decked balcony with plenty of seating, perfect for that afternoon glass of wine. Next to the lounge is the well equipped kitchen containing all the appliances for modern living including cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Further along the hall past the handy utility room containing a washer/dryer, is the main bathroom, twin room and single bedroom. The master bedroom is located at the front of the property and has an abundance of wardrobe space, a charming window seat and en-suite facilities.
This is a great base to discover and explore the beautiful Purbeck countryside and the fascinating and varied Jurassic coastline.

My cosy, warm 2nd floor flat welcomes you. The room’s at the rear of the building, where street noise is at a minimum. Only minutes walk both to the Quay & town centre. Close to the historic Old Town & Poole museum & lovely rooftop cafe (well worth a visit!) I provide a continental breakfast & can accommodate individual tastes, wherever possible. Bus & railway stations, ferry port, shopping centre, theatre & hospitals are extremely close by. Also near to High Street & all pubs & restaurants!
Guests have a quiet, clean, cosy and very warm double room to themselves; with a home from home feel. There’s a chest of drawers and a large wardrobe with hangers. The guest room, as it is at the back of the flats is quieter and away from the road. The room is centrally heated, but there is a small fan heater too if needed. There are extra pillows and blankets if needed. There are bedside draws available for 2 guests’ usage. Provided are towels, toiletries & a hairdryer in the bedside drawer. Guests have use of a very recently refurbished loo & bathroom including a bath and a shower. Also a fully equipped & sunny kitchen, with a table & 2 comfy stools to eat breakfast at. My flat backs onto a quiet communal garden and is in easy walking distance to both the Quay & the town centre. Both rail & bus stations are approximately a 10 minute walk from here. Poole General Hospital is 15 mins away. The Lighthouse Theatre is an easy 10 minute walk away. The ferry terminal is a 20 - 30 minute walk away, depending on how much luggage you have – but it is also a very short taxi ride away ~ approx £5-6.
I am right in the thick of things – only a 5 minute walk into town or to the Quayside. Getting around is very easy and there is a bus, coach and train station within a 10 minute walk from my flat. Also the Poole Town Circular bus stops around the corner from my flat. The Lighthouse Theatre is a 10/15 minute walk. There are large supermarkets ~ Sainsbury’s and Aldi’s, within a 10 minute walk from the flat. Even closer, there is a Tesco’s Express upon the key – five minutes walk, and a Little Sainsbury’s in the High Street, for your convenience ~ both are open early till late. Buses, coaches and trains to Sandbanks, Bournemouth, Weymouth, Swanage, Dorchester & London Waterloo are very frequent, often twice-hourly, depending upon the service, destination and your chosen day of travel.

Our lovely first floor flat is in an elevated position just off the town centre offering views to the sea from the lounge. Less than 2 minute walk to the beach. The property offers 1 good sized double bedroom and a small room with 2 single beds (READ BELOW). We can also provide a travel cot if requested. The apartment also offers a fully applianced kitchen and bathroom ( small bath with shower over) with everything you would need for your stay. WIFI is also included.
The flat occupies the first floor in a converted Victorian house and is a few minutes walk from Swanage Beach. This apartment would easily accommodate 4 and is very comfortable and homely. There are two single beds in the small second bedroom. One is a pull out so is close to the floor. We also have a sofa bed in the lounge if this is preferred. However, please note:- we do not allow 6 guests as the apartment is too small. There is free street parking outside the property however if it is full there is plenty of free parking up the road just a few minutes walk and everything in Swanage is in walking distance. We offer all basic cooking supplies, coffee machine, and pretty much every utensil you could think of if you like cooking! There are also four stools round a breakfast bar/island so you can sit down to eat.
The property is close to all amenities, and a short walk to the main square with chips shops, pubs and the stone quay and pier.

  • Een mooie ruimte op een mooie locatie. Ik kreeg onmiddellijk instructies en tips van de gastheer toen de boeking werd bevestigd. De flat zelf is een comfortabele leefruimte, geschikt voor zowel lang als kort verblijf. Het heeft alle juiste accessoires in een ruimte die alles wat swanage te bieden heeft slechts een paar voetstappen verwijderd heeft. Het uitzicht op de zee vanuit het raam in de woonkamer is prachtig. Ik heb erg genoten van mijn verblijf hier en zou het absoluut aanbevelen aan anderen.

Other eating establishments can be found in Canford Cliffs, 5 min drive away.

    Light, airy self contained annexe with wi-fi, own entrance, driveway parking and fully equipped kitchen. Use of sunny front and rear gardens. Walks and coastal path are close by and easily accessed. Less than a 5 min walk away is the lovely village pub, The King's Arms (reasonable food), well stocked village store and Putlake Farm (good for breakfast and light snacks). Local amenities include golf courses, water sports and the beautiful beaches of Swanage are less than 2 miles.
    I aim to provide guests with a home from home. I supply fresh white bed linen and towels and offer my guests a comfortable and relaxing escape.
    The Jurassic Coast is a World Heritage Site stretching from Studland Bay to Exmouth in Devon and ranks as one of the natural wonders of the world. From the Annexe there is easy access to many walks and in particular the coastal path. There are countless places of interest to visit including Durlston Country Park, Corfe Castle, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, botanical gardens and swannery at Abbotsbury to name but a few. The village of Langton Matravers has the village shop/post office, the Kings Arms public house, Putlake Farm (good for breakfast) and St George's Church. Not far away is the picturesque village of Worth Matravers and the famous Square and Compass public house which is a must to visit Swanage hosts a variety of music festivals and art events throughout the year.

  • We zijn net terug van ons verblijf in het bijgebouw. Het is net zoals beschreven en een perfecte uitvalsbasis om te wandelen en de hele omgeving te verkennen. Het was erg gezellig en warm toen we terugkwamen van onze wandelingen en een run. We hielden van de optie om onze eigen maaltijden te koken, maar hadden een diner in Kingston. Katherine is een supergastheer en was zeer behulpzaam, zonder opdringerig te zijn. Zou graag weer verblijven de volgende keer dat we het gebied bezoeken.

    Our apartment is close to a beach and park, The Pelican House is fantastic for best way to meet you. We start by using 1st floor/hall then using the code. CODE 3226 ENTER You’ll feel totally secure. On the 3rd Floor and appt 15 look for Master Lock "2433" You will get 3 Keys, " 2 locks and 1 gate, On the Grd Floor you find the L15 with 2 cars. King Bed in the Bedroom. Enjoy the area but close enough to stroll to the quay cafe, pubs. All the rubbish drops off on Grd floor opposite the Entrance
    The accommodation has a safe balcony with table and chairs, perfect for morning coffee, there are outside seating in the public areas, leading on to the footpath which leads onto the beach.
    There are a number of attractions in around Poole, including Watersports, Beach's, Bovington Tank Museum etc
  • Dit appartement was echt geweldig. Het lag net buiten Poole, dus we hoefden niet eens de stad in te rijden om er te komen. We hebben helemaal geen gebruik gemaakt van de auto toen we er waren - zowel met het openbaar vervoer als met het openbaar vervoer. Het appartement was warm en comfortabel, alles wat we nodig hadden was er. Er waren zelfs strandhanddoeken - niet dat het weer daar goed genoeg voor was! Zeer comfortabel bed. We zouden zeker zien of het beschikbaar was als we naar Poole terugkeren. Bedankt

  • Deze plaats is het perfecte vakantieappartement in wat een prachtige provincie is om te bezoeken. We verbleven voor een week en de gastheren waren zeer behulpzaam. De locatie is perfect, naast een rustig park / strand en op slechts 10 minuten wandelen naar het centrum van de stad en de kade. We hadden een jaar oud en het appartement was babyvriendelijk. Ik zou het ten zeerste aanbevelen aan iedereen die naar het zuidwesten komt!

  • Schoon, licht en luchtig appartement, ideaal voor een verblijf van een paar nachten en voor het verkennen van de omgeving. De flat zelf is in Carters Quay Development - niet de 'mooiste' en de bouwwerkzaamheden lijken nog steeds aan de gang te zijn, maar de echte waardering voor het gebied is als je eenmaal te voet op weg bent, want de drukke jachthaven ligt op slechts een korte loopafstand met veel pubs, restaurants, cafés. Als je de tijd hebt is het de moeite waard om de mooie lange wandeling te maken van Poole Quay naar Sandbanks. En zeker een boottocht naar Brownsea Island waard. Beveel Poseidon Kite School in Sandbanks aan als je van kitesurfen of paddleboarding houdt. Belangrijkste praktische beperking bij het pand is parkeren. Er is slechts 1 toegewezen ruimte en praten met andere bewoners is er geen aparte bezoekersparking op het landgoed. Bij aankomst was vermeld dat andere gasten met succes extra auto's hadden geparkeerd op de hoofd Blandford Rd, maar bij inspectie was de wachttijd beperkt in de tijd. Het is echter de moeite waard om de Just Park-app te bekijken - we konden betalen voor parkeren in de ruimte van een andere bewoner voor ongeveer £ 26 voor 3 dagen.

    The town centre has many coffee shops, my favourite being Java and Love Cake. My favourite bar is the Cellar Bar, located under the Mowlem Theatre. The beach is literally seconds from the beach. There are many restaurants to choose should you want to eat out. Swanage Pier and the beautiful downs are 3 mins walk. Swanage Steam Railway is a must!

    A fabulous bright, south-facing 1-bed fully furnished flat with a double sofa bed, thus sleeping four comfortably, the apartment has been invested into significantly, a full £10k refurbishment took place is December 2019. New facilities, new decor, furniture & kitchen appliances. Parking outside the front door & there is a lovely outdoor space in the courtyard behind the apartment - this of course, is in addition to the south facing balcony.
    If you want Harbour Views, access to Poole Harbour within a 100 meters, a stunning park on your doorstep and some of the best views in the country - then Harbour Shallows is for you! A one-bed apartment, fully furnished to a high spec - and a wonderful new bed. It sleeps 4 in a double bedroom and double sofa bed. There is access to the apartment along a catwalk over a small self-contained courtyard. The apartment has one bed - a double with plenty of wardrobe space and Freeview TVs & DVD players. The kitchen has a fridge with freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a washing machine, hob and oven, toaster, Nespresso coffee maker, new microwave and all glass, cutlery, crockery, pots & pans you need to cater at home if you want to!     Swanage is an attractive seaside resort with a long sandy beach and a good range of places to eat. There are a variety of activities including boat trips, fishing, boating and rides on the steam train which links Swanage with the historic village of Corfe Castle. This is also a wonderful walking area. The coastal path is only 5 minutes walk away and there is easy access to Durleston and walks along the coast westerly to Worth Matravers and Kimmeridge or easterly to Old Harry Rocks and Studland. There are a variety of small Purbeck villages within a short drive with charming stone cottages and traditional pubs.

    My place is situated down a quiet lane, a few minutes walk from Wareham town centre. The accommodation is a self contained annexe to the main house. This is self catering accommodation with a basic welcome pack. A cot is available upon request. We have three dogs; two spaniels and an elderly friendly fluffy Akita. The annexe offers cosy accommodation in an area of natural beauty, with many historical sites and places of interest. It also great for walkers, cyclists and birdwatchers.
    We have a large garden which leads onto the river Frome, which guests are welcome to use.

Uit eerste onderzoek om te controleren of alles was professioneel en gemakkelijk en Judith stuurt beknopte aanwijzingen voor het maken van de reis, dus het is gemakkelijk te vinden. Om eerlijk te zijn, verwachtten we een vrij eenvoudige annex maar na een zeer warm welkom bij aankomst, kregen we zien in de accommodatie en we waren blij. De slaapkamer, de woonkamer / keuken en badkamer zijn ruim en ver overtrof verwachting. Het decor is mooi, het is zeer schoon en zeer goed uitgerust met een aantal onverwachte mooie extra's. We kunnen echt niet prijs dit verblijf sterk genoeg en zou niet aarzelen om terug te keren - hopelijk in de niet al te verre toekomst.

  • Deze plek is fantastisch !! De locatie maakt het erg handig om te wandelen naar Wareham en rijden rond het omliggende gebied, terwijl het toch een rustige en ontspannen toevluchtsoord. De foto's en de beschrijving geven een nauwkeurige weergave van het bijgebouw - perfect formaat voor 2 personen - maar wat echt maakt deze eigenschap opvalt is de gastheer. Judith deden hun uiterste best om alle comfort mogelijk te bieden tijdens ons verblijf. Zij reageerde snel op mijn vragen op voorhand, en we waren bij aankomst met een vriendelijke tour van het pand, die was brandschoon begroet. Alle voorzieningen die we konden bedenken was voorzien, van verse eieren om extra tandenborstels. En ze ons geholpen tijdens ons verblijf - ze zelfs verwisseld parkeerplaatsen met ons toen we moeite een back onze grote sedan van de oprit had! Het geven van 5 sterren over de hele linie naar een woning kan soms over-the-top, maar niet in dit geval - dit is echt een uitstekende plek om te verblijven, en ik kijk uit naar mijn volgende bezoek!

    Lovely seafront apartment located just above smiths in the centre of town right opposite the beach. Great views from all the rooms. We even have a lift. Unfortunately there is no parking at the moment. The positive is once parked everything is on your doorstep. Shops restaurants.
    The flat is quite small and cosy. Although in the Centre of town the block is quiet. It is purpose built so sound proofing is really good. This would be an ideal base. It is situated above Smiths and next to Boots. Harry Ramsden is opposite. The decor of the apartment is neutral. We will have WiFi installed, which allows unlimited downloads. A parking space will be an option from April 1st 2020 onwards at Purbeck House hotel. Let us know prior to arrival and we will leave the permit. Cost will be just £2.50 per day. Just leave the amount in the kitchen on departure day. Because the flat is so central you can park up and it’s only about 60 metres to our beautiful safe beach. All the shops are literally on your doorstep with restaurants and pubs all close by. We have a fully equipped kitchenette which has everything you need including a microwave and coffee machine. We will include a few pods. You can breakfast people watching or just enjoying the spectacular sea view. Entry to the apartment is easy with our key code. You can unload luggage at the back of the building. The apartment is small and ideally would suit a couple. Three adults at a push. Two adults and one child max. We have a laundry room downstairs on the ground floor. There is also video entry. I will answer your enquiries quickly.
    Swanage has a great ambiance and the flat is almost on the beach. You can hear the sea with the windows open. We are very near the bus station and there is a steam train that runs in the summer months. We are close to lovely walks all along the Jurassic coast.

    The site is full of holiday makers and once entering through gates there is really no need to leave the park until the end of your holiday

    A 2 bed apartment just minutes walk from the coast. Sleeping 5 it has a bright & airy kitchen living room, it's own garden that benefits from all day sunshine and very close to award winning beaches. Four-legged friends welcome. In these current times my cleaners are exceeding guidelines for sanitising and the apartment is having a deep clean after every visit. Rest assured you’ll be able to have a wonderful, restful break away from the stresses of the outside world, in my safe clean apartment.
    The living space comprises an open plan kitchen living room. The kitchen has a dishwasher, full size fridge and freezer, microwave, gas oven and hob. There is a washing machine and laundry airer at the property plus iron and half size ironing board. The living area has two sofas, dining table and 5 chairs, bookcase with a large selection of DVD's and books. There is a DVD player and 36 inch television which has BT TV with Netflix and over 100 freeview channels to watch, pause and rewind. There is wifi throughout the apartment. The main bedroom has a wardrobe, large chest of drawers, bedside tables and an en-suite with shower and large window with view over Swanage bay. The second bedroom has a solid built oak triple bunk, with full size double bed at the bottom, a single above and 2 large drawers underneath. Also a large oak chest of drawers and hanging space. Both bedrooms have blackout blinds, stereo radio alarm clocks with 2 USB phone charging points/phone connectivity and views out towards the countryside. The family bathroom has a large double ended bath, separate spacious shower and under floor heating. Directly outside the front door is a shingle garden with table and 5 chairs including parasol. Allocated off road parking is just metres away.
    The Ridge is in a peaceful residential area just minutes from the coastal path, with a breathtaking first view across the bay. Just a 800 metre stroll downhill and you'll be in the midst of the busy coastal and holiday town and alongside the beach. A 5 minute walk in the other direction and you're in Durlston Country Park which opens up to you miles of Dorset coast walks. I love that I can walk my dog to the downs crossing less than 100 metres of tarmac from leaving the front door. If I go out to the coastal path within 15 minutes I'm at my favourite spot, Durlston Castle, for either coffee or lunch and as it's dog friendly, my Labrador settles down to watch the world go by whilst I continue to be mesmorised by the view.

On the way back why not stop and quench your thirst in the local pub or even have a spot of lunch. Poole town centre has an abundance of shops to suit all tastes and budgets. Head down to Poole Quay and you'll find plenty to see and do, play in the amusements, catch the land train or take a boat over to Brownsea Island. The Island is home to the endangered red squirrel and offers lovely walks and views of the harbour. If you fancy going further afield you can even catch a ferry to Jersey. Head down to pier approach and you'll find plenty to see and do, if you can manage to tear yourself away from the seven miles of golden sand why not take a stroll on the pier, play in the amusements, go on an underwater adventure at the Oceanarium or even catch the land train to Boscombe. Stroll through Bournemouth gardens and you'll come across mini golf, a bandstand, aviary and the Bournemouth eye, a tethered balloon with large passenger carrier attached which flies high above the skyline and offers spectacular views. Further afield you'll find the spectacular Jurassic coastline (a world heritage site).
