“In 1950, the Cape Cod Music Circus (now the Cape Cod Melody Tent) became the third musical tent to open in the US. For over 60 years, the Cape Cod Melody Tent has been presenting world-class entertainment in scenic Hyannis. One of only two continuously-operated tent theatres in the round in the United States, the Melody Tent is owned and operated by the South Shore Playhouse Associates, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to encouraging and supporting the arts, cultural and educational organizations throughout the communities of the South Shore and Cape Cod.”

Lighthouse
“Chatham Lighthouse Beach is a gorgeous beach with a breathtaking view. With the lighthouse at your back, you can look out at a very scenic beach having a wide channel created by a large sand bar island. There is a large sign with a big picture of a great white shark to let visitors know that they need to be vigilant as sharks had been sighted in the past. The water is very shallow and visitors can enjoy swimming, jet-skiing, and strolling on the beach. ”

“great for a walk or bike ride or fishing or to watch boats go by.....(no swimming though). There is plenty of parking near the railroad bridge on either side of the canal. The RTC site's directions are to the Bourne Bridge parking area. If you want to start at the railroad bridge, continue further down Shore Rd. he Cape Cod Canal is an artificial waterway in the U.S. state of Massachusetts connecting Cape Cod Bay in the north to Buzzards Bay in the south, and is part of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. The approximately seven-mile-long (11 km) canal traverses the narrow neck of land joining Cape Cod to the state's mainland. Most of its length follows tidal rivers widened to 480 feet (150 m) and deepened to 32 feet (9.8 m) at mean low water, shaving 135 miles (217 km) off the journey. ”

“Embargo is on Hyannis Main St and features Tapas and cocktails in a fun atmosphere. Upscale club/bar atmosphere. Large, diverse menu. This place is great for a date night or just a relaxing, fun evening. Often features live music. Attracts a slightly younger crowd than The West End, but you’ll see everyone there. Good for bachelorette parties. ”
