Unlike many other rentals on the island, I have INCLUDED the Hawaii Transient Accommodations Tax and General Excise Tax of 14.41% into the price! This means no separate invoices, NO ADDITIONAL HIDDEN FEES after you book. ALL TAXES AND FEES ARE INCLUDED IN THE GRAND TOTAL (cleaning, Airbnb booking, high-speed Wifi up to 115 Mbps, and parking all included). Rates vary depending on the season.

****Coronavirus (Covid19) Changes****
Cleaning is done right! My housekeeper has been in the industry for over 20 years. She is extremely professional and thoroughly cleans the condo top to bottom before every check-in. Extra special attention is giving to high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, faucets and the toilet handle, light switches, and remotes. There is a bottle of disinfectant spray in the kitchen for your convenience and plenty of soap in the kitchen and bathroom. The condo is well ventilated with a large lanai door and windows on the opposite side which allows for an excellent cross breeze and takes full advantage of the oceanfront trade winds. Hand sanitizing stations will be wall-mounted near the elevators on every floor and free-standing stations will be available near the entrances to the building. Disinfecting the common areas of the building including the lobby and elevators will be continued and increased as occupancy increases.

The water is accessible within steps of the pool area during Summer and into Fall. This building is about as oceanfront as it gets! The newest buildings and hotels are no longer allowed to build this close to the water. This means when you open your window, you hear the ocean. It also means that we have had to line the strand with sandbags to help deal with the seasonal erosion. Due to the seasonal erosion direct beach access is closed off from the swimming pool most often during November through May. During these times a beach can still be easily accessed by a 3 min walk across the adjacent properties South of the condo (Valley Isle and Sands of Kahana).

This is my home away from home and I want you to feel like it's yours too.

The condo is located off Lower Honoapiilani Rd in Lahaina Hawaii (Napili-Honokowai on the map which is a northern part of Lahaina) about 15 mins North of downtown. There's a beautiful oceanfront heated swimming pool as well as a nice grassy area just above the strand with lounge chairs to lay out and soak in the sun. I say oceanfront not beachfront because the sand comes back in the summer but there is not enough to lay a beach towel on. However, a 2-minute walk down the strand there is enough sand for beach chairs and towels and great surfing. There are also several FANTASTIC beaches easily accessible under a 10-minute drive such as Kaanapali, Napili, and Kapalua.

Smoke-free environment. There's a super comfy king-size bed, ultra-plush pillows, and the room comes equipped with all the essentials for a relaxing island vacation. Very fast Wifi up to 115 Mbps, a large 55" Roku/Netflix/Amazon ready TV (just sign in to your account), cable TV, a new stovetop, microwave, fridge and freezer, plates, utensils, coffee maker, blender, soaps, towels, games, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, beach chairs/towels, etc. There is no oven.

You'll also have access to your own washer and dryer in the unit!

Lots of free parking (including motorcycle parking), wheelchair accessible, fast elevators, a large heated pool with new loungers and 5 adjacent well maintained BBQs, a nicely equipped gym, free luggage carts, cheap weekly snorkel gear rentals across the street, and much more. If you're bringing your own surfboards, the boards are not allowed in the unit (this is the building's rule, not mine) however you can easily have it locked safely in the basement storage, just ask the front desk or security.

The ocean breeze is fantastic, but my condo DOES have central air conditioning too. This is especially useful for guests that are used to colder climates and have trouble sleeping when they're too hot.

Check-in anytime after 4 pm. On the front door, there is a simple lockbox with a 4 digit code. Inside is an electronic keycard for unlocking the door. There are additional keycards inside the condo to carry with you during your stay. I normally send the code one week before arrival. No need to worry about meeting someone to pick up/ drop off keys, just stop by the front desk upon arrival so they can verify your negative Covid test and pick up your free parking pass, then head up to your room.

You may check-out anytime before 11 am. Please wash any dishes and take your trash to the trash chute down the hall (across from unit 909). That's it!

There is a 2 guest maximum. My condo has been decorated with adults in mind, there are a glass table and some heavier/fragile decorations that could be unsafe for small children. There are no child locks on the cabinets. This is also an oceanfront property with no lifeguard.

The beaches and island views are stunning and it's still easy to get to some of the best restaurants on Maui. I now live on-island full time. This is my little piece of paradise and I’m grateful you are considering staying at my place. There are NO RESORT fees while staying at the Royal Kahana. Parking is free (be sure to pick up a parking permit at the front desk). Free, fast Wi-Fi in the condo and throughout most of the property.
