Rustic cabin with covered deck overlooking a rushing creek within 15-20 minutes of Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk & Blue Ridge Parkway. A great way to experience "glamping" where stunning nature meets modern luxuries. You'll be tucked away on 30 acres with the comforts of electricity, heat, WiFi, and cooking accommodations . Bathroom is only 30 yards from the cabin. Sleeping space for 2 adults & 1-2 small kids. AWD/4-wheel drive strongly recommended December-March in case of snow.

De ruimte
Nestled at the base of Grandfather Mountain in the scenic communityof Foscoe, NC, sits our cozy and relaxing creekside, tiny cabin with queen bed loft. You'll find a covered deck overlooking a rushing creek with a fire pit, on 28 private acres. Whether you are in for a day spent relaxing at the cabin, shopping and dining in downtown Boone or Blowing Rock, an adventurous time exploring the Appalachian Mountains and Blue Ridge Parkway, climbing, or skiing/snowboarding, zip-lining or biking at one of the local ski resorts (20 minute drive to Sugar Mountain), you will be able to truly enjoy yourself and have a great retreat to come back to afterwards. Your private cabin with loft comes equipped with a comfortable queen size bed as well as a futon that folds out into a coil-spring double size bed. Cabin is ideal for a single person, couple, or 2 adults with 1-2 small kids. The cabin offers a rustic experience with the amenity of electricity and only a short walk away (30 yards) is the bathhouse with shower, toilet, refrigerator, and washer/dryer. There is NO RUNNING WATER in the cabin. There is a 5-gallon water crock and access to potable water 30 yards away. Cook your own meals on a propane grill/stove on the porch and wake up to enjoy the complimentary locally roasted coffee in your coffee maker. Creekside Cabin offers simple cooking opportunities. It is stocked with basic cooking utensils, plates, cups, mugs, knives, cutting board, pots and pans, coffee pot, microwave, and water crock on stand with fresh well-water from our well. Snuggle on the futon with a good book or breathe in the fresh mountain air on your private covered porch. This is space is meant to be healing, restorative and peaceful. If you're the adventurous type looking to experience nature with the comfort of an indoor space to sleep and rest then this place is for you!

Toegang voor gasten
There is NO RUNNING WATER in the cabin. A 5 gallon water crock is in the cabin for cooking and drinking. It does have electricity, wood stove, ceiling fan, and oscillating fan in loft (no air conditioning). A short walk from the cabin (30 yards), attached to our barn by a separate door, is the community bathhouse with shower, toilet, refrigerator (guests will have a designated shelf and drawer), and washer/dryer (shared with long-term tenet living in barn apartment). The bathhouse may be used by our family or friends when we are working or spending time in our workshop or near the barn. Chairs and fire-pit are yours to enjoy beside your cabin.

Andere dingen waar je op moet letten
This is a perfect space for a single person, two adults, or family with up to 2 children.

The gravel portion of our road is bumpy and narrow. Sedan type cars do fine traveling here, but during snow season it would be best to have a vehicle with good clearance and front wheel, or four-wheel drive. We recommend AWD/4-wheel drive December-February. The drive in from 105 is mostly flat with only a couple of small hills. On a rare occasion you may need to back up for passing vehicles on the narrow road.

There is a lot of fire-wood in the woods that you are welcome to collect for the outdoor fire pit or you can purchase bundle from us.

I'm a mama, wife and lover of all things genuine and creative. I enjoy gardening, dancing, reading, music, traveling and being outside in nature. Visiting the ocean and unique places that are quiet and restorative fill my cup. I love sharing the beauty of where I live with others. Tijdens je verblijf
We are a family of four with two young children, one dog (Fiona), 2 cats (Francis and Nelope), and chickens. You may have an occasional visit from our dog, or cat, on your porch. I will be on the land often, gardening and doing other outdoor work. I am available to answer questions and to give you ideas of things to do. We want to honor your privacy by giving you space to enjoy your stay. There are some areas of our property that we would like to maintain as our private space. Our house can not been seen from the cabin, but you will see my family, guests, and tenant at times. My husband's wood shop is in the downstairs of the barn and two people live in the second-level barn apartment (30 yards away). The barn is visible from the cabin, but faces away from the barn and feels very private. Your view is the woods and creek. The creek is loud and drowns out most sounds. You are welcome to explore in the creek and woods near your cabin. We live in a beautiful area and we're so excited to share it with you!
