This mountain house is ideal for nature lovers & those looking for privacy. It has amazing views of Soller and the Tramuntana mountains.It is an off the beaten-track rural retreat with a private 10x5m pool. Perfect for hikers & biking with trails to Soller & Deia on your doorstep (15 mins drive).The large 3.5 acres of private land has hundreds of ancient olive trees and almond trees, and it is right on the GR221 walking path.The house has 1 bedroom & double height open plan kitchen living room.

Come and enjoy a much deserved holiday in the peace of the centenarian olive trees where you can relax, and enjoy nature all in the privacy of your own mountain house, perfect for a social distancing holiday. We always maintain a thorough cleaning protocol and have implemented specific anti-Covid measures.

The Soller/Deia mountain house is all about nature , peace and tranquility. It is a mountain house, with an uphill road with several curves (very common in the Soller, Deia, Tramuntana area) and is off the beaten track, yet still within 15 mins drive of town, and 30 mins walk to Soller (for fit walkers) and near to some great restaurants and the most beautiful villages of Mallorca.

You are set in a beautiful 14,000m2 (3.5 acres) piece of private land, away from noise and neighbours, and yet close enough to walk into town. You can follow the track down to Soller for some bread and coffee in the morning or walk the circular route (45 mins -1 hr) that passes by the nearby Hotel Cas Xorc, where you can stop and have a cake or a bistro lunch. You can also reach the well-known Son Mico for some tea and cake.

The house has an open plan kitchen diner & living room. It has double height ceiling, lots of windows and big glass doors offering you beautiful views of the Soller valley, village and Tramuntana Mountains. The kitchen is a good size and has plenty of counter space, all made of solid granite with nice wooden carpentered cabinets. The views from the kitchen and terrace are some of the best in Soller, looking directly at the highest point of Mallorca, the Puig Mayor (c.1420 mts), and the Puig Masanella from the terrace. These are areas of Mallorca that are worth visiting in order to hike the trails near the Cuber Reservoir.

The bedroom is a good size with a small sofa which makes it a very cozy space to read and relax. There is a small desk and chair and a Mallorquin wooden wardrobe. The bathroom is small but with a large shower (1.35 x 80cm), with marble walls and a good sized sink. It is modern and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The best part of the house, is the large 10 x 5 private hotel sized pool set amongst the olive trees and the lovely private gardens and large terrace areas.

Guests will have access to the whole house during their stay. They will also have access to the 14,000m2/3.5 acre plot that is great for wandering around in or setting a blanket under an olive tree to have a picnic. Guest will have exclusive use of the swimming pool and all terrace areas.

There is an air-conditioning unit in the bedroom and a large unit in the living room/kitchen area that can provide cool air in the Summer months as well as hot air in the winter-time. The unit is connected to a Kw/h meter, and thus guests will need to pay for this usage prior to their departure. We will provide you with instructions for this during your stay or prior to your arrival.

We can help guests with their first shop, should you not be interested in spending too much time in the supermarket. Also, if you want us to organise for some prepared food to be ready for your arrival, there is a great local deli that makes some lovely Mallorquin dishes.

The Spanish Government introduced an Eco-Tax for guests over 16 years of age that needs to be paid for all holiday-makers in the Balearic islands. This Tax is €1 (per person per night) in the off-season period and €2 (per night, per person) in the Summer and peak seasons. I will provide you a form that you need to fill out prior to departure.

The house is 1.6 km from the Deia to Soller main road. This 1.6km is a mountain road, as are many roads in the Soller and Deai area that lead to houses above the town with views. Of the 1.6km mountain road, 900 metres is paved/asphalted up until the Hotel Cas Xorc. From the hotel, there is a small stretch of 700 metres that is a rural track. We recommend guests to rent a small 4x4 vehicle or the highest clearance vehicle available (Nissan Juke, Opel Mokka, Ford Kuga, Nissan Qashqai or Van-Type/People Carrier car) as the 800 metre strethc of rural road is more comfortable and easier to manage with these cars. There are some great views from this road and also you are enetering into your private nature domain, away from the noise of town and the crowds.

During the Winter time, we are able to offer guests with olive/oak/almond wood for the fireplace (cost depending on amount and type, the local going rate is between €0.22 - €0.27 per Kilo). Please get in touch with us prior to arrival if you would like this service.

The house is in a quiet neighbourhood, in a highly protected land area,with stunning views of the Tramuntana mountain range and the town of Soller below. It is equidistant from Soller and Deia in the time taken to drive from the house to the towns. The house is off the beaten track and is definitely for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts as well as those looking for privacy and views and a private swimming pool. However, we are lucky, because our closest neighbour is a boutique hotel, that is a mere 10 mins walk away (800 metres.) This is a great place for a quiet lunch or a quiet dinner as well as afternoon drinks. Furthermore, we are a mere 5 mins drive from Can Mico (great for afternonn tea and cake) and Can Bleda (great for paella lunches, brunches and coffee and cake daily). We like being close to Soller and Deia and the Port of Soller, to eat out, take boat rides, rent paddle boards, visit the museums etc.. and be able to retreat to the mountain, elevated and away from it all.

Guests have a choice of wether they want to be greeted upon check-in or pick up a key inside a lock-box. You will be given detailed directions with images, in PDF form, that need to be printed and followed carefully in order to get to the house. This is very important, so that you dont get lost along the way. As the last 800 metres of the road is a rural track, there are a few turning points that lead to other houses. I will be available during your stay for anything you may need and any questions you may have. You will be able to send a wattsapp message or text message and if you wish you can send me an email. For emergencies you can call at anytime of the day and I will do my best to solve your problem or query asap.
