Drink your morning coffee as you walk the farm's picturesque blueberry fields and shoreline. At night, enjoy sitting around a cozy campfire toasting marshmallows. As you enjoy the scent of fir trees, salt air, and the unspoiled beauty of Downeast Maine, Relax.
Spend several days with us exploring the farm or as a home base to venture to other locations around Downeast Maine and Canada.

De ruimte
The Elva P. Cabin is one of two rustic cabins nestled in the woods looking out onto the farm. The cabin has two full-size beds, a fully equipped kitchenette, a bathroom with shower, and a front porch for those quiet nights sipping wine or early mornings drinking coffee. The cabin also has it's own outdoor space with a campfire pit and picnic table. Pets are welcomed. If the Elva P. Cabin is booked, please check out our Mary Adeline Cabin at Welch Farm.

Toegang voor gasten
Guests have access to the farm's back fields, walking trails, scenic picnic area on top of Blueberry Hill overlooking the majestic view of the Atlantic Ocean (a walk but the view is well worth it), the farm's private rocky beach and shore front. Guests can pick wild blueberries (in season) and enjoy them for breakfast or dessert.

Andere dingen waar je op moet letten
Welch Farm has been family owned since 1912. We are a working lowbush (wild) blueberry farm. We are the busiest in late summer during our berry harvest. We still harvesting some of our fields just the way our Grandparents did, by hand with a blueberry rake. During the summer, we also offer public farm tours, where visitors can learn about this tiny, flavorful, nutrient-packed fruit indigenous to Maine. For more information and prices, please call or email for more information.

Roque Bluffs, Maine, Verenigde Staten

Roque Bluffs is a small coastal town along the Englishman's Bay with a population of 300 and located about mid way between Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor and St. Stephen, New Brunswick Canada. Lobster Fishing and Blueberry farming is still a major source of revenue here. Located near the farm is the Roque Bluffs State Park. The park truly remains undiscovered by the masses. Comb the Park's beach, swim in it's freshwater pond, or hike one of it's hiking trails. A grocery store and the walkable downtown Machias is a 10 minute drive away. Several restaurants are a must try in the area. Interested in a two nation vacation, bring your passport. We are 1/2 hour from Campobello Island, Canada (home of President Roosevelt's cottage) and 1 hour from New Brunswick, Canada

Tijdens je verblijf
We love to meet new people and see old friends. We know the area well and are always willing to give directions, make suggestions, and help with any needs you might have. If you would like to cook your own lobsters or clams, please let us know. We'd be glad to contact our local fishermen and get them fresh from the boat for you. Since fishing can be dependent on the weather and tides, advance notice before arrival will be needed.
