Ever wanted to learn about green tea? What's the difference between green tea and matcha? Ever wondered if you're making green tea the "correct" way? With our gentle and welcoming approach to green tea, we'll guide you through everything you need to know about green tea. By the end of the workshop, you'll be a tea master! You'll start the workshop with a cup of tea (as you should). We'll provide tastings of a high grade Japanese green tea and teach you the brewing techniques for this type of tea. We'll go step-by-step to show you how temperature affects flavor and how you can recreate the same cup easily at home. While you drink tea, you'll learn where tea comes from and how it is made from farm to cup. Then, you'll get to brew your own bowl of a high grade ceremonial matcha. If it's your first time brewing your own matcha, we will ensure that you'll leave as a matcha pro! With our approach, we'll walk you through each of the steps and tools required to make a delicious bowl that you will get to pair with a Japanese wagashi (a sweet dessert).
