Wat je gaat doen
Your utterly unique Okanagan Valley day adventure – float, hike, sip and swim! Float the Channel in a life vest; check out the an authentic Stern Wheeler; hike the iconic KVR Trail visiting several great wineries and cool off at Three Mile Beach. Our first adventure; on Penticton’s River Channel. Not the traditional “floaties” but we float the swifter upper 2km’s in life vests. Nobody else does this. A nice walk back along the channel to tidy up. Our visit to the nearby S.S. Sicamous Stern Wheeler gives you a glimpse into the marine heritage of the Okanagan Valley. Sample a great burger or snack at Patio Burger & Ice Cream Co. on the foreshore of Okanagan Lake. Then shuttle to our hike through the silt cliffs to the iconic KVR (Kettle Valley Railway) Trail. Always with spectacular views of the Lake on our 5 km hike we pass through vineyards, orchards and over historic McCulloch Trestle Bridge. Sidestep to the boutique D’Angelo Estate Winery on the famous Namarata Bench for a glass of red or white. Finishing the trail we shuttle to isolated Three Mile Beach for a refreshing dip in Okanagan Lake’s cool waters. An unforgettable day’s finale is a wine at Howling Bluff Winery.
