Wat je gaat doen
Hungary gave a lot of fantastic classical composers to the world, like Liszt, Bartók, Kodály and Kurtág. People can usually listen to such music in big concert halls (or, of course, on recordings), although in Liszt's time there were various venues to enjoy such social events. Yes, a concert (even a classical music concert) is a social event, where you can meet new people, you can discuss your experiences, you can talk to the musician(s). We miss that intimate atmosphere of piano concerts what 19th century people could have in a salon, or what 21st century people can have in a tiny, intimate venue, like this musical antique store (with an antique upright piano). For such an experience we have an excellent and busy pianist, Éva Szalai, who has already played in presence of the Dutch Royal House, last year had her debut in South-America and she won first prizes at several international piano competitions. Let me be your guide during the concert, where I will share with you some interesting stories about the pieces! We hope that you will enjoy this informal way of listening. Some snacks and Hungarian wines are included.

As a freelance musicologist I present and host concerts at the most prestigious concert halls in Budapest (e.g. Liszt Academy and Mupa) and I'm fond of talking about music on different forums: in radio and television, city walks, concerts and festivals in Hungary (e.g. Klasszik Radio 92.1, Valley of Arts, Kapolcs or the Hungarian State Opera House) and abroad (recently in Holland, Ireland and Slovakia). I am the editor of the stage talk series of Liszt Academy, where I've already had the opportunity to talk with the most famous classical musicians all over the world.

Waar je zult zijn
The place of our concert is a musical antique store of a famous Hungarian radio presenter (also a musicologist) Ádám Bősze [Bősze Ádám Zenei Antikvárium] with a lot of old music books, sheet music and some relics, like drawings and paintings, with old furniture (the bookshelf even "saw" some autographs by Gustav Mahler) and a cozy upright piano.
