Wat je gaat doen
Visit and interact with the hidden hangout spots of local motorists, including but not limited to: Daikoku PA, Tatsumi PA, and Umihotaru. While these so-called underground spots have been more exposed in recent years thanks to social media & car-related web sources, it often doesn't come natural for Japanese people, who tend to be shy, to openly interact with visitors from abroad. We will go immerse ourselves in the community by taking a tour of active spots and engage with the locals.
Which car I take guests on varies on group size and car availability, since I share some with the family. If the slot fills up it will automatically be the Golf, but otherwise I may take the GT-R if the group size is smaller. If you you want to lock down the vehicle of choice, please book a private slot and let me know beforehand.
Other things to note
- Cancellation may occur in case of poor weather.
- Please take note of the finish time. I can't drive you back to your hotel even if you don't have a last train, as it will be an illegal taxi.
- It's very hard to predict how many / what kind of cars will show up. These are casual meets.

Born and raised (30 years+) in the land of the rising sun, I will show you the in's and out's of Japan's motorist scenes. I'm fully bilingual (J/E), so I can help translate any interactions with the locals as well. My drives are a Nissan R32 GT-R and MK5 Golf GTI.
Waar je naartoe gaat
I will select 1-2 spots from the following, based on how active the community is:
1. Daikoku - the biggest underground car scene in Japan; a highway rest area with 400+ parking spots.
2. Tatsumi - a scenic rest area where motorists hangout and take their social media pics.
3. Umihotaru - a massive complex in the middle of Tokyo Bay; with 500+ parking spots.

If you ever wanted to joyride in a GT-R across the neon Tokyo night streets to see one of the most famous car cultures in the world, well then here’s your experience! Ken was an amazing host and super knowledgeable about the JDM car scene. We got to check out the legendary Daikoku car meet. You never know what you’ll see, but huge variety of Skylines, 86’s, and other gems of Japanese cars. Super chill event and you can see how close knit and friendly the car scene is in Japan. If you’re a car lover, don’t miss out.

If you are interested in Japanese car culture, you will love this tour! Ken took us to see the car scene at Daikoku Futo, we had plenty of time to see many cool cars! He is knowledgeable on the car scene, both presently, and in it's roots. Highly recommended!

If you are into the car scene, you have to go check this experience out! Ken did a fantastic job! He took us to some great local meetup places, and was explaining the differences between the Japanese vehicles and their American counterparts. I even saw some vehicles I had never seen in person before!
