Wat je gaat doen

Rome is an open air museum, and while many people visit the Colosseum and Roman Forum, there's an awful lot more of the ancient historical sites that get missed out on. I want to help people see these in more detail, and learn their stories and significance.
Beginning near the Colosseum, we'll walk to see the 'other' forums - the Imperial Forums, which were built by some of the most important figures in Roman history such as Julius Caesar and Augustus.
From here, we visit the most significant hill of the ancient city - the Capitoline - and learn why it was important, before we then see some of the only remains of an ancient Roman apartment building.
Heading down the road, we see Rome's most impressive ancient theatre, before some of the best preserved temples in the city, and one of the old mysteries of Rome - the Bocca della Verita.
Afterwards, we pass a unique archway and see the (outdoor) remains of the world's oldest sewers, before we come to two of Rome's oldest sites. One is where Rome began, almost 2800 years ago, and the last stop is the largest stadium ever constructed.
This is an adventure to see some of the most significant parts of Ancient Rome.

I have lived in Rome for seven years, working as a tour guide, and this city has came to be my home. Every street and every corner is filled with wonderful people, architecture, and history. Originally from the north of England, I studied a Masters in Ancient History at the University of Wales, before moving to Rome to put the knowledge to use. At times I've also lived in Florence and New York City (a little different to Rome, I know!), but Rome will always be my love, and I want to help others love it just as I do. I aim to entertain as well as teach you some of the history and secrets.

Benjamin is a very knowledgeable host. He helped us mentality visualize what ancient Rome was like, and understand how different it was from the barbarian tribes it conquered and assimilated, and also the differences and similarities from our current day culture.

We had a great your with Benjamin and since we were the only guests silly enough time brave the midday heat, it was very interactive. I'm a huge nerd for history tours so this was right up my alley, but my boyfriend (who isn't usually as keen) also had a great time. Benjamin pointed out tons of sites and gave us info we would have never gleaned otherwise while walking around. Definitely recommend this tour!!

Benjamin was extremely knowledgeable, we asked him 100s of questions and he knew the answer to everything. He is clearly passionate about the topic and we got excited spending time with him and learning through facts and myth. He had other great tips for seeing Rome and his lunch tip was brilliant!! We have recommended him to our friends already. A wonderful part of our trip!!

Benjamin was an excellent guide. I was lucky enough to be by myself for this experience so we were really able to chat well, and he answered all my questions with expertise. He was friendly and accommodating, and his level of knowledge is deep- we discussed some very rare and specific details of history that was the most interesting part. Great tour, I highly recommend Benjamin.

While touring around Rome, we may have visited the most sought after tourist destinations like the Colosseum and the Vatican, but our learning from these came nowhere close to what we received in those couple of hours with Ben. We only visited the lesser known spots around Rome but ended up covering a lot of history. I had a lot of questions including many which were not directly related to the sites we were visiting and yet Ben was able to provide very accurate and/or insightful responses. Would highly recommend
