Wat je gaat doen
First we meet and greet your trekking animals, whether alpaca or llama. You’ll find out a bit about the species and the individual animal- don’t be afraid to ask questions! Before we set off you have a chance to brush your animal so that you get to know them better and you’ll be told a few tips about how to lead them.
The trek itself takes a circular walk around the farm, which is a beautiful and tranquil 65 acre holding in the heart of Cornwall. You will meet various other animals along the trek and have a chance to feed them and take photos.

Carthvean Farm is the home of Julie Taylor-Browne, who is an international camelid trainer and ex alpaca judge. Your trek will be hosted either by Julie or Farm manager Eleanor. Whoever leads your trek, you can be sure that you will be introduced to a wealth of knowledge, all tailored to your interests.

The farm is a hidden corner of the world where birdsong is louder than traffic. We try to live alongside nature and not in opposition, and this ethos is carried through to the farm animals. We have many rescued animals and people can also find it a sanctuary from busy lives.
