You feel like a hobbit exploring Mordor... this feeling comes over you quickly when we walk through pine and birch forests and marvel at the many different lava flows. We descend into the caves of Etna and hike to the side slopes and craters. A possible sequence could look like this, but always depends on factors such as the group and the weather: We start the hike in a large pine forest to reach a lava cave, then we cross a lava stream. In the second part we hike up a slope to get a wonderful view over Valle del Bove and East Sicily. We will experience the size of Etna and what an important part it is of Sicily. This tour lasts about 7 hours and is suitable for people who like hiking, but also for families and children who are interested in this experience.
