Wat je gaat doen
So, uh, why does New York build "really, really big things?" We tend to do that a lot. This is a fast-paced & funny walking essay that explores the answers to that question through the story of the Brooklyn Bridge. And to do so, we have to look the historical stories of immigration, engineering and political machines. With this tour, we use the bridge and it's bloody, weird history to get a deeper understanding of what is not only New York City, but what makes any city a city.
My tours are loud, energetic and a little manic, with a focus on the systemic and exploring what is 'history' and questioning what is a city. I think tours are like essays; they're built on a strong thesis and build an argument as we travel through them. Also, I carry a rubber chicken. Long story, ask me about it on the tour.

Waar je naartoe gaat
We walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. We start in the Civic Center in Manhattan and ending in DUMBO. At the end of the tour, you will end up around plenty of food and transportation options and myself, I'll hide in an ice cream shop and stress eat an entire double scoop as you leave so we don't accidently bump into each other in the subway and it's awkward.
