During this 2.5-hour workshop you’ll learn how to temper chocolate and, from it, craft 2 types of Belgian chocolates. Pralines: The most famous Belgian chocolate, consisting of a delicate chocolate shell with a creamy filing. You’ll learn how to make both the shell and the filling from scratch! Mendiants: Chocolate discs studded with dried fruits. Crispy and delicious! You’ll make at least 30 chocolates, which you can either eat on the spot or take home to family and friends. With our easy technique and chocolate theory, you’ll be able to make your own chocolates once you return home! NOTE: we take up to 20 participants per workshop due to the popularity of this activity, you work at 2 or 3 participants per chocolate machine . You will join me in my workshop in the heart of Old Bruges and learn to handmake your own sterling silver ring. During our time you will have hands on experience of forging, shaping and finishing your own silver ring. First you will choose which finger you would like the ring for, measure your silver and cut to size using a handsaw. Next you will choose from a wide selection of hand stamps to add a custom message onto the inside of the ring. This could be a name, date or your favourite beer! You will learn how to hammer the silver into a ring shape using mallets and a triblet. I will then heat and solder your ring while explaining the process of heating and joining silver together. Next I will show you how to add textures and markings to your ring. This is your unique ring and your time to really show your creative side! The last step will be to choose the finish and polish; this could be highly polished to add some sparkle, a satin finish or even a rough forged look to your ring. Finally you will have your own silver ring to keep, handmade by you in the Heart of Old Bruges, a fabulous and unique way to remember your trip to our magical city. Other things to note No previous experience of jewellery tools or working with silver is needed to enjoy the workshop and make a ring. We will use 925 sterling silver for your ring. We have a safe place to store luggage

During this 90-minute workshop you’ll prepare traditional Brussels waffle batter (the Brussels type), cook it and decorate it with whipped cream, chocolate and seasonal fruits! (and much more toppings !) No previous cooking experience is necessary, and kids are welcome too. After a short introduction, we’ll go through the recipe, split into teams and start cooking. We provide everything you need: all ingredients, cooking gear, waffle irons, a demonstration, and assistance. Feel free to make the craziest topping combinations and take pictures! Kom en geniet van een keramiekworkshop in het pittoreske polderdorp Houtave Een workshop van drie uur voor : Maak je eigen 'zee-sculpturen' of; Maak je eigen kom, bord, beker.... We gebruiken handbouwmethoden, indien nodig zijn er tal van gipsmallen beschikbaar om je vormen te ondersteunen Als je van avontuur houdt.... kun je het elektrische pottenbakkerswiel en/of het kickwheel proberen. In de studio heb ik verschillende kleuren steengoedklei beschikbaar. Voor diegenen die van felle kleuren houden, zijn er gekleurde slips die je kunt gebruiken. Klei moet drogen en twee keer in de oven worden gestookt. Daarom kun je je creaties niet meteen mee naar huis nemen. Ik zorg ervoor dat er glanzend helder glazuur op je keramiek wordt aangebracht Het werk zal klaar zijn om opgehaald te worden of ik kan het keramiek 2 weken later opsturen. Verzendkosten brengen extra kosten met zich mee, afhankelijk van de geschatte grootte /het gewicht van de potten. Andere dingen waar je op moet letten Kom in kleding die vies kan zijn. Wij zorgen voor schorten Tussendoor kun je ontspannen in de koffiehoek, koffie, thee is inbegrepen.

De fiets biedt je de mogelijkheid om heel wat kleine steegjes, pittoreske bruggen en charmante pleinen te ontdekken. Op het pad van de stadsomwalling maken we een mooie lus rond de historische binnenstad. De oude stadsmuren vormen een groene gordel. We fietsen er langs de windmolens en de oude stadspoorten zoals de Gent- en de Kruispoort. Eén van mijn favoriete plekken is de Sint-Anna-wijk. We doorkruisen de lanen van deze charmante buurt. Om elke bocht ontdek je een verrassend uitzicht. Brugge is tevens gekend voor de kleine, witgekalkte godshuisjes. Ze zijn veelal geclusterd rond een gezellige binnentuin. Terug in de binnenstad, fietsen we langs de schitterende Groenerei. De oude bruggen en historische gevels worden er weerspiegeld in het water. Deze rit is voor jou als: - je de historische wijken wil ontdekken - je wil ervaren waarom de ganse stad tot Unesco werelderfgoed werd verklaard - je wil zien waar de Bruggelingen al eeuwenlang wonen - je liever buiten de gebaande paden gaat - je bent bereid de stad echt te beleven De tocht duurt ongeveer 2,5 uur en is geschikt voor fietsers van alle leeftijden .

Bij deze ervaring staat het proeven van Belgisch bier centraal. We proeven diverse types Belgische bieren en trachten te ontdekken wat jouw favoriete bierstijl(en) is of zijn. Als biersommelier zal ik je doorheen dat proces leiden en trachten om samen met jou je favoriete bieren of bierstijlen te ontdekken en wat aanbevelingen te doen voor bieren die je kan proberen tijdens (of na :-)) de tour. Alle bieren worden geproefd in kleine proefglaasjes (er is mogelijk 1 grotere portie, afhankelijk van de beschikbaarheid), dus de focus van deze tour en proeverij ligt op proeven, en niet op hoeveelheden. In totaal proef je 8 of 9 verschillende bieren in kleinere glaasjes. We ontmoeten elkaar op de binnenkoer van de Bourgogne des Flandres brouwerij in hartje Brugge. We vertrekken naar het biermuseum, waar we enkele bieren proeven. Ondertussen vertel ik je wat meer over hoe bier gemaakt wordt en wat de ingrediënten zijn. Nadien bezoeken we nog 2 biercafés in de binnenstad, waar we nog wat meer bier proeven en waar ik je verder uitleg wat de Belgische biercultuur zo uniek maakt. We sluiten af in de Bourgogne des Flandres brouwerij, voor een unieke workshop bier blenden. Je stelt zelf je eigen Bourgogne des Flandres samen aan de hand van de twee basisbieren, en vergelijkt dan jou blend met de échte BdF. Gedurende deze workshop ontdek je ook hoe goed bier en chocolade samengaan, want we proeven bij elk van de bieren in deze workshop ook een echte Belgische praline. Andere dingen waar je op moet letten Dit is een proeverij met alcoholhoudende dranken en chocolade.
