Explore Salem with a Local
Salem is a beautiful, historic city best known for its tragic 'Witch' Trials. Our walk and talk will provide an overview of our history, from our origin as Naumkeag to our European founding in 1626 to the Witch Hysteria of 1692 through the current day, with some sites from Hocus Pocus tossed in. I'm happy to adjust the tour route based on the interests of the attendees. The tour length is about 1 hour and 45 minutes, depending on the interaction and the pace of the group. We'll cover about 1 1/2 miles. As a resident, I share a local perspective to help bring Salem alive for you and help with any tips that may make your visit more enjoyable. Our tour is historical, but I may sprinkle in a few legends and hauntings along the way. I am very flexible with my tour dates and times, so drop me a note if you don't see something that works for you.

Shuck Oysters on the Harbor
Our life philosophy is EAT ANYTHING, ANYWHERE. We like eating some of the best foods, in odd places. We will meet on the docks of East Boston where we will tear into and slurp dozens of local oysters, harvested by our oyster farmer friends, while looking over the harbor and skyline. You will learn how to properly shuck an oyster and will go home with a shucking knife of your own. The memories will be in the details. We will set up in "flash-mob" "pop-up" style along the water. Expect the unexpected. Other things to note This is an outdoor experience. To get to the dock, I encourage you to take a water taxi! There are several pick-up points and I am happy to help arrange this for you.
Bloodlust: Mysteries of Victorian Boston
In the late 1800s, Boston experienced a rash of gruesome murders and unexplained phenomena. The “Boston Medical and Surgical Journal” observed, “The increase in the number of the criminally insane has been exceptionally rapid…” Most interesting was the way one community reacted to this – The South End, the country’s oldest and largest Victorian neighborhood. Not only was there a reawakening of the notorious Witchcraft Trials that happened 200 years earlier, but people were also accused of being vampires and conversing with the dead – all while serial murders and molesters lurked just out of sight. Explore this quaint post-Civil War suburb, its architectural gems and strange statuary that tourist rarely get to see. Then delve into the concerns of the people who lived here, their art, science, politics and stories of true crime, with demonstrations on Victorian phantasmagoria and the new fields of forensics and toxicology. Did you know that one of Boston’s wealthiest entrepreneurs was a woman? So was America’s first accused vampire. We’ve also hosted mad scientists, homicidal healthcare workers and psychologists who treated the mentally ill in unsavory ways. Buried the beneath this neighborhood's eye-catching English gardens and breathtaking brick rowhouses is a unique experience you won’t want to miss, and all within a few blocks of Copley Square and Back Bay. Other things to note We will walk outside, about a mile, through the streets and parks of the South End. We will see architecturally significant homes and churches, the background for a number of historic movie and shows. There will be some graphic discussion of violence and murder. Participant discretion is advised.

Politiek incorrecte culinaire tour
There are many food tours in the North End (Boston's Little Italy). What set's my tour apart besides my politically incorrect style is that out of the bunch of food tours that run I am truly a local. (BORN AND RAISED) When I say there are no locals that do these food tours I truly mean that all the other guides that portray themselves as locals are not even from the neighborhood. Not only they weren't born here most don't even live here now. Trust me it's more fun with a real local whom everyone knows. - We will eat our way through Hanover Street where we will discover the best pasticcerias that offer the best cannoli, biscotti, and other Italian favorites. We will discuss the best of the best restaurants and coffee shops. With my culinary background and years of living here and of course eating here you will learn how to not get caught up in the tourist traps. •We will visit authentic Salumeria (Italian Deli) where you will sample best Italian sub ever. -We will visit hidden gems where you will discover a bakery in a basement of 100-year-ol structure •Visit a very unique 80- coffee and spice shop. -Also some secret stops that we will keep as a surprise. -Most of all you will taste great foods and you will laugh all day long. Other things to note Tours will run rain or shine but common sense will also be used It is a Politically Incorrect tour so some adult content
Walk Your Way Through Boston's History
We will start our tour at the Lenox hotel in the heart of the Back Bay neighborhood, and will end at historic Faneuil Hall where there are endless places to eat and explore after the tour. Not only will we visit the famous Boston Freedom Trail, but also hidden treasures not covered on other tours. My tour runs approximately 2 1/2 hours. Unlike some other walking tours, I try to cover as much of Boston as possible. The walk is not fast paced, but we do cover about two miles. Wear comfortable shoes. The Back Bay - Explore one of Boston's most famous neighborhoods. Home to some of Boston's most beautiful buildings such as the Boston Public Library and the Trinity Church. Boston Public Garden - Visit the beautiful gardens, and say hello to the Swan Boats, and the Make Way for Ducklings statues! If you come during the right time of year, they may even be donning some accessories! Boston Common - Bask in the freedom of the oldest public park in the United States. Cheers Bar - Where everybody knows your name. Beacon Hill - View Boston's most historic neighborhood. Complete with original brick sidewalks and gas lanterns (you can thank some friendly 20th-century neighborhood rioters for those bricks). The New State House - Is as impressive as the political debates inside...we think.

Boston's Underground Donut Tour
On this tour, you'll join me as we explore the city and food culture through the medium of donuts. You'll learn history of Boston, each donut location, how they fit into the larger food scene, as well as try some amazing donuts. We start in Boston's financial district at Kane's Donuts. After sampling some delicious donuts, we'll walk along the harbor on our way to Boston's Public Market, where we'll try some amazing apple cider and apple cider donuts. Fresh every day! After that, we'll sample some of the best artisanal donuts you'll have in the entire city at Union Square Donuts. For the last portion of our tour, we'll walk through Boston's North End or Little Italy learning about the history of the neighborhood along the way. Once there, we'll visit one of the North End's oldest bakeries, Bova's where we'll have a uniquely Boston treat. We hope you can join us! Other things to note Currently, many of these shops do not have gluten free or dairy free donuts available. We will try to accommodate allergies, but it has been difficult recently. We still welcome you to come on the tour though.
